The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Microcal, Inc.,Northampton, MA 01060, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for 1 each iTC200 MicroCalorimeter and includes: ultrasensitive cell with syringe tower, control unit, software package, washing module, injection syringes, manuals, shipping, and on-site installation and training. This system will be used in experiments utilizing isothermal titration calorimetry. System must be able to measure heat change during complex formation at constant temperature and directly determine the thermodynamic parameters of a given reaction.
