The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), located at 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85723-0001 is seeking a certified technician to perform onsite preventative maintenance and calibration services in accordance with the original manufacturer specifications.  The contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, labor and materials to perform services on audiometers, immittance, H.A./Probe Analyzers and sound rooms.  See list of equipment below.  Annual Required Standards: Audiometers must be calibrated to the American National Standards Institute Specifications for Audiometers: ANSI S3.6-1996 ANSI S3.1-1999 ANSI S3.39-1987 (R2002) Listed equipment other than audiometers are required to be calibrated in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Service is to be provided during normal business hours of 08:00 am 17:00 pm Monday through Friday. Work will not be allowed on federal holidays or after business hours. Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. However, if response by Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined.
