The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Field Operations Division is issuing notice of intent to negotiate a sole source blanket purchase agreement with Aquatrak Corporation for the repair of Model 3000 Transducers. Aquatrak Corporation has been identified as the sole manufacturer and distributor due to the technology used in the transducers being proprietary and having a patent. The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 334511. The size standard is 750 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by 2:00 p.m., EST, on May 14, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
