The USCG MLCP in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dockside Repairs on USCGC FIR, a 225 foot buoy tender, homeport of Tongue Point, Astoria, OR. All work will be accomplished at the cutter's home moorage, during the period of 13 Feb through 6 April 2007. Work may include, but is not limited to the following; Clean and inspect chain locker, fender renewal on 23 ft ATON boat, reverse osmosis foundation mods, clean and inspect ship service diesel generator, clean and inspect potable water tanks, clean and inspect compressed air receivers, repair hydraulic chain inhaul winch, test and inspect overhead hoist weight handling gear, inspect and repair hydraulic chainstoppers, inspect and repair mechanical chain stoppers, level 2 inspect and repair anchor windlass, anchor chain and ground tackle inspect and repair, inspect and repair warping capstan, inspect and repair single point davit, inspect and repair buoy and cargo crane and temporary services.
