This Request for Proposal (RFP) is the for the drydocking service craft overhaul of the YC-1591 AND YC-1592. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAIC 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 17 May 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 18 June 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.7100 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The work includes, but is not limited to: YC-1591: inspection of voids with possible repairs/preservati on based on inspection; blast, UT, preservation of underwater hull with possible repairs based on inspection; zinc replacement; remove/repair/reinstall rubber fenders; blast and non-skid main deck., and incidental related work.
