The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source action to AGFA for preventative, maintenance and repair services on AGFA Picture Arching Communication System. The Period of Performance for the base year is: January 1, 2019 December 31, 2019. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a business size standard of $20.5M. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i).
This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement.
Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission or objective.
The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
