SSA-DCO-2282: Maintenance for CANON Microfilm Reader Printers: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has 103 CANON Microfilm reader/printers located in its Metro West Building in Baltimore, MD, 36 CANON units in Boyers, PA and 2 CANON units in Wilkes Barre, PA. SSA intends to negotiate and award a contract/order for ongoing maintenance and repair services for the above referenced equipment with MICROGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT DESIGN Inc. (MEDI); 7225 Parkway Drive; Hanover, MD 21076 for the equipment located in Baltimore, MD and with IMR Inc; 1591 S 19th Street; Harrisburg, PA 17104 for the equipment located in the two Pennsylvania sites. These will be follow-on contracts to previous orders issued to MEDI and IMR for the maintenance services. Equipment covered by these agreements include CANON MP-60, MS-500 with MS-100 Roll Carriers and Fileprint 400 Laser Printers, CD-4046, ED-500 and MS-800 units. The provider must be able to respond to service calls within 24 hours of notice, provide any required parts which shall be OEM quality, make any changes or updates to equipment as directed by CANON USA or SSA, and perform a minimum of two PM calls on all units during the 12 month period of performance. CANON USA has stated that the referenced vendors are the only "authorized maintenance providers for the referenced equipment" whom services the Baltimore, MD and Pennsylvania locations. Any responsible Small Business who believes it has the necessary staff and resources to provide the described services should submit a complete capability statement (including documentation clearly demonstrating CANON certification to provide maintenance on the equipment, list of qualified technicians with certifications, parts availability and industry experience) to the Contracting Officer (at the address above) within seven (7) business days from the date of this notice. This is Not a request for proposals. SSA will not respond to, nor pay for requests for solicitations.
