The Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85012, VISN 18, contemplates negotiation of a sole source commercial contract with Abbott Diagnostics, 100 Abbott Park Road, Abbott Park, IL 60064-3500 for an unlimited number of service repair calls, preventive maintenance inspections and parts as needed for an Abbott Cell Dyn 4000 Hematology Analyzer and associated equipment. The anticipated contract period is October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, with four (4) one (1) year options. FAR 6.302 authorizes sole source procedures. The NAICSC code for this procurement is 541990 with a size standard of $5.0. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 15, 2002. This procurement is Unrestricted. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis.
