USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to FEI Company, 5350 NE Dawson CRK DR, Hillsboro, OR, 97124-5793 for maintenance services on the FEI Nova NanoSEM 630 Scanning Electron Microscope.

FEI Company is the manufacturer of the Nova NanoSEM 630 Scanning Electron Microscope and is familiar with the maintenance needs and potential replacement parts should the system fail. FEI Co. is the only entity capable of providing the necessary maintenance on these systems.

The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) using simplified acquisition procedures. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 3:00 PM CST, Friday, 17 February 2014.
