Sources sought synopsis announcements are issued to assist the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Benning, GA, in performing market research, to determine industry interest and capability. This is not a request for proposals (RFP). A response to this request will not be considered a proposal and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This is not a guarantee of a future RFP or an award. This document should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Any information provided to the Government in response to this document will become MICC-Fort Benning property and will not be returned. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost associated with responding to this document.
Description
It is the United States Government's intent, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 to negotiate a non-personal contract, for a one-year extended Warranty on Laerdal SimMan 3G Manikin, including the following:
One-year extended warranty - a continuation of the product's Standard Manufacturer Warranty.
Return to Bench service.
Pre-payment of priority shipping costs to ship the product to the Service Center; Return the product to the customer's facility.
Packaging materials for return of the product to factory for repair.
Transportation case for return of manikin for repair.
Payment of all expenses incurred to inspect and clean loaner product.
72 hour repair turn-around time for customer property.
Use of loaner manikin during repair period.
Pre-payment of priority shipping costs to ship loaner to the customer's facility and back to the Service Center.

Contractors who believe they posses the expertise and experience shall submit a written technical capabilities statement. Interested contractors should also address whether they can fulfill the requirements via GSA schedules. In addition, any small businesses that believe they can accomplish this requirement should indicate their small business status (See FAR Part 19) in their capability statements.
