CORRECTED NOTICE! DISREGARD VA-SNOTE-060804-002 The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15, intends to negotiate a commercial sole source contract with the Philips Medical Systems Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain a maintenance agreement plan for the Philips Forte Jetstream Nuclear Medicine Camera System and related equipment located at the Poplar Bluff VA Medical Center, 1500 N. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, Missouri 63901-3318. The procurement will specifically provide for ongoing parts, remedial service, repairs, and maintenance to include proprietary software maintenance and updates. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Period of performance will be the base year of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 with up to four (4) option years beyond the base year. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all inquiries received within 10 days after date of publication of this special notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
