Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), is procuring a service contract for a 5400 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm-fixed price purchase order to Physical Electronics. We are currently using their 5400 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer. Because the 5400 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer is proprietary to Physical Electronics, it would not be cost effective to use another vendor. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to the Government POC on or before 06/29/2007.
