Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA New Jersey Healthcare System is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Preventive Maintenance of one (1) BESAM RDB Revolver and four (4) BESAM Single Swing Doors. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 238290. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than February 10, 2011. Description of work to be performed includes the following but not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment necessary to maintain the BESAM RDB Revolver and four (4) BESAM Single Swing Doors at VA New Jersey Healthcare System located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018-1023. The contractor will perform two (2) planned maintenance calls to inspect, clean and lubricate and adjust the equipment, as well as an AAADM Certification on all applicable doors at the time of planned maintenance. The revolver will receive four (4) planned maintenance. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, Hub Zone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business or large business), relative to NAICS 238290. For a Contractor to be considered one of the above socioeconomic classifications, they MUST conduct at least 51% of the work. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions; (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hub Zone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business? If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be certified in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov).
