The 49th Contracting Squadron, Holloman AFB, NM intends to solicit and award to Cooper Crouse-Hinds, 1200 Kennedy Road, Windsor CT, 06095, under statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), set forth in FAR 6.302-1(d)(2), titled, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to repair a Cooper Crouse-Hinds radio control box using FAR Part 12 procedures. Federal Supply Class is 7622; NAICS is 811211. Work to be provided is a service call to repair equipment manufactured by Cooper Crouse-Hinds. It would take substantial duplication of time and money for another company to become an authorized dealer trained in repairing Cooper Crouse-Hinds equipment. Interested firms may submit their capabilities and qualification to repair equipment manufactured by Cooper Crouse-Hinds to the identified point of contact not later than 1 April 2005, 3:00 PM (MT). Such capablilities and qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
