Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business, woman owned business or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 (size standard of $7.0 million per annum). Description of work to be performed includes: The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is seeking qualified firms capable of providing required sterilizer maintenance and repair services. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, parts and supplies necessary to provide preventative maintenance and repairs for the equipment listed below for the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Inspections and preventative maintenance shall consist of technical inspections, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, calibrating, replacing parts and maintaining the equipment in first-class operating condition in accordance with the manufacturers maintenance specifications, including necessary repairs and maintenance to assure proper operation of marking pens, chart recorders, loading carts and washer/sterilizer baskets. Also includes the replacement or cleaning of all strainers, filters and traps located in Sterilization, Processing and Distribution Area (SPD). All pressure relief valves shall be checked and results noted on inspection sheet for each sterilizer per each inspection. The contractor shall make thorough technical inspection of the equipment in accordance with the commercial practice governing maintenance of the type of equipment involved. Such inspections shall be made periodically but in no event shall more than six (6) months elapse between such inspections. Maintenance and inspections shall be performed during regular working hours of regular working days which are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. Maintenance service will not include the following: 1. Electrical work external to the equipment. 2. Repair or damage resulting from accident, neglect, misuse, failure of electrical power, or caused other than ordinary use. 3. Altering or modifying equipment Only new standard parts manufactured by the maker of the equipment or equal thereto, shall be furnished by the contractor. Servicing the equipment shall consist of cleaning, lubricating and adjusting, furnishing and replacing parts, and labor for repairs between regular inspections. Responses to this notice should include company name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities to which you have provided similar services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business large or small? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business?
