The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS), VISN 23 intends to negotiate a commercials sole source contract with Spectranetics Corporation. This notice of intent is to notify interested organizations about MVAHCS intent to sole source to Spectranetics Corporation for preventative maintenance to include diagnostic and/or corrective actions, parts, calibration, alignments, adjustments, lubrication, required gases on the CVX-300 Excimer Laser System located at the MVAHCS, 1 Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417-2309. This agreement will be for one (1) year. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and is more advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response date due no later than October 1, 2010, 3:00 PM CST.
