This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order. The purchase order will cover Steel Repairs onboard the NOAA Ship GORDON GUNTER at it?s homeport of Pascagoula, MS.Provide all labor; material and equipment necessary to perform the miscellaneous steel repairs and modifications throughout the vessel. The performance period is estimated to be approximately 30 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of on or about December 4, 2006 and completion date of January 4, 2007. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAIC code is 333618 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The acquisition will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov on or about November 20, 2006 with a receipt date of November 27, 2006 and an award date of December 1, 2006. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments. The specification will be uploaded via www.eps.gov with the RFQ.
