The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army ARDEC (Armament Research Development Engineering Center), intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the procurement of System Maintenance on the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeler) 400MC Rapid Prototyping equipment and software. The requirement is to provide equipment/software maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance on the FDM 400MC Rapid Prototyping System manufactured by Stratasys, Inc. Services includes software updates and telephone technical support. Options for 4 additional years are provided to continue Basic Contract requirements. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement with a one-year base contract and four one-year options with an estimated contract value of $58,750.00. It is the Governments intent to award this action on a sole source basis to Stratasys Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2) Only One Responsible Source. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on the US Army JM&L, LCMC Procurement Network website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil and http://www.fbo.gov on or about 09 July 2010.
