The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Close Combat Systems (OPM-CCS) is seeking sources that are capable and authorized by the manufacturer to perform refurbishment and alteration of previously-purchased TASER X-26Es.

Refurbishment shall include the following tasks:

(1) The Contractor shall replace the existing battery with a new Extended Digital Power Magazine (XDPM) battery containing version 22 software/firmware and ensure the software/firmware has upgraded successfully and works properly.

(2) The Contractor shall ensure the TASER X-26E is functioning properly and the TASER X-26E should pass all function checks and quality tests that are conducted for new TASER X-26Es per the manufacturer's International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 (or equivalent) Quality Assurance Program.

Alteration includes the following tasks:

(1) The Contractor shall equip the TASER X-26E with Item Unique Identification (IUID) and submit the associated data online in accordance with DFARS clause 252.211-7003, ITEM IDENTIFICATION AND VALUATION.

The submitting sources shall also have in-house processes in place for testing the quality and reliability of each item (or a reasonable representative quantity for each lot/batch produced) that confirms the items are built to specification and will function safely and consistently.

Additionally, interested companies should note if manufacturing resources are shared with other items/production lines and identify the approximate amount shared.
