The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 intends to negotiate a commercial sole source contract withTerumo Cardiovascular Systems, 6200 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103 under the authority FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain service and maintenance for two (2) Terumo Heart/Lung machines located at the Columbia VA Medical Center, 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia, Missouri 65201. The base period of service will be from December 1, 2006 through November 30, 2007 and up to four (4) Option Years after the base period. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
