S02 FBO Desc Fire Station Alerting Background: Our current emergency incident alerting is aging and is prone to failure causing a delay response. Replacement parts for the current system are now obsolete. A new alerting system will ensure all incidents are responded to in a timely manner in accordance with NFPA 1221. Scope: The contractor will provide and install an alerting system that is compatible with VA Central Dispatch equipment as well as our mutual aid partners dispatch centers to include Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) interface. All work performed will be in accordance with NFPA 1221. The current manufacturer for Berkeley County Dispatch system is Central Square , the system is referred to as Informed CAD .
