This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. 5441 Babcock Road STE 302, San Antonio, Texas 78240 for the procurement of the CARTO-3 Advanced Imaging Technology ASA. The Government intends to solely negotiate with Biosense Webster, 31 Technology Drive, Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92618. Background and Requirement: This equipment for proposed is the CARTO-3 System is an advanced imaging technology that utilizes electromagnetic technology to create real-time three-dimensional (3D) maps of a patient s cardiac structures. The system is designed to help electrophysiologists navigate the heart by generating an accurate 3D map, as well as pinpointing the exact location and orientation of catheters in the heart during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients suffering from heart rhythm conditions (cardiac arrhythmias). Contractor shall provide all preventive maintenance service on the CARTO® 3 and Generator systems at Temple VA Medical Center. Additionally, contractor shall provide corrective maintenance on the system if it shall be malfunctioning or inoperable at a mutually agreeable time and loaner equipment, when deemed necessary by the Contractor. Training materials shall be provided for base software upgrades that affect user operation of the base software. The ASA shall also provide New Equipment /or New Software. This equipment for proposed is the Carto 3 Advanced Imaging Technology ASA. This equipment must be able to perform the following functions. Upon arrival, the contactor must check in to biomedical engineering department to obtain a vendor badge before any work is done. Submit any mobile media devices that would be used on the system to a virus scan. After work has been completed for the day, vendor must check out with biomedical engineering department and brief biomedical staff or supervisor. SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: Central Texas Veterans Affairs Medical Center Carto 3 system needs to function with the following: Advanced mapping system with analysis tools. Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for Carto 3 Advanced Imaging Technology ASA . The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon.
