The Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward J. Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, VISN 12, 5000 South 5th Ave. Hines, Illinois 60141-5000, under the authority of FAR 13 (41 U.S.C. 1901 and implemented for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) (Urgency), intends to request quotation on a sole source basis with INTEGRATED MED SYS INTL INC to facilitate Instrument Sharpening, Maintenance and Repair of the Surgical Equipment located at the Edward J. Hines, Jr. VA Hospital; NAICS 811219, with a size standard of $22,000,000.00 applies. Integrated Medical Systems International, Inc. provides surgical instrument repairing services. Integrated Medical Systems International, Inc will provide maintenance, repair and sharpening as per the Statement of Work for all surgical equipment deployed at the Edward J. Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. Contractor must furnish all parts, labor, supervision, material, test equipment, and emergency services, including transportation cost necessary to perform maintenance and repairs. Services are to be provided in strict accordance with all schedules, specifications, terms, conditions and provisions of this contract. Urgency; This contract will be awarded for 1 year or 12 months only. Any respondent to this notice must show that they have the capability to provide a program of scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance, repair and sharpening to all surgical equipment as requested. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 pm (Noon) Local Time on Thursday, March 26, 2020. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
