NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Kone Inc. 10 Pixley Industrial Parkway, Rochester, NY14624. The period of performance for contract award will approximately March 1, 2020 to March 13, 2020. This requirement is to provide a onetime replacement of elevator S3- transaction Sheave(s)/Hoistcable(s) in accordance with equipment specifications. Kone Inc. currently holds the maintenance contract of the elevators located at the Syracuse VA Medical Center 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210 THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
