Sources Sought Notice: JBSA-FSH Washer Dryer

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION; not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action.

The purpose of this requirement is for the lease, maintenance, and repair of top and front load washers, electric and gas dryers, stackable electric and gas units, electric and gas washer/dryer combo units, and quarterly dryer duct cleanings at Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine the solicitation strategy. The Government anticipates awarding a contract for a basic year of performance beginning 01 May 18, with four 1-year options. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed-price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The NAICS Code is 532210 (Consumer Electronics and Appliances Rental). Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. A response to this sources sought synopsis will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: It is requested that interested businesses submit to the Contracting Office a brief capabilities statement as well as a completed RFI questionnaire. The Capability Statement shall address, as a minimum, the following: 1) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contracts (not to exceed three) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; and 2) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this requirement. Any information provided is voluntary. The sources sought is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.

The Government WILL NOT provide a debrief on the results of the survey. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended.
