1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION / OWNER INTENT This project will carry-out several facility modifications within the Juvenile Detention Center to maintain safety and security as well as provide efficiencies and improved working conditions. The project will remodel the women’s and men’s locker rooms into staff wellness rooms with all-gender restrooms and showers, replace the curtain-style gymnasium divider with an operable partition, modify a sallyport to provide space for a new body scanner, convert a room into a remote courtroom, alter another room for body camera docking stations, and install acoustical improvements.
