The Jefferson Laboratories complex consists of 35 buildings or 1,100,000 square feet of building space on 500 acres, located approximately 35 miles south of Little Rock.. Facilities include areas such as laboratories, vivarium, administrative, steam plant, water well, and warehouse space.

The scope of work includes the renovation of five Animal Housing Rooms in building 05A into nine Animal Housing Rooms inclusive of new energy efficient HVAC system, new electrical system, and new fire alarm system for the refurbished and adjacent area. Work will also include several separately priced options which include demolition and renovation of space inclusive of plumbing, fixtures, HVAC, fire alarm and electrical systems, removal and disposal of existing air handling units and sterilizer, and the furnishing and installation of a new sterilizer and a bedding conveyor system.
The construction duration is estimated to be 12 months from the issuance of the notice to proceed. The magnitude of construction is between $1 million and $5 million.
