This is a synopsis of a proposed sole source contract action to Compunetix, Inc. for the procurement of the Joint Hawaii Information Transfer System (JHITS) Compunetix CONTEX 240/480 bridging system post warranty maintenance services.

Background: The four Compunetix CONTEX 240/480 conference bridges were installed and cutover for JHITS in 2009 to provide conference bridging services, i.e., meet me, preset, progressive, ad hoc conferencing capabilities, to JHITS customers during 2010. A renewal contract for continued post warranty maintenance services is required to task the original equipment manufacturer, Compunetix, to support the JHITS contractor in the operation upkeep, equipment software upgrades, and maintenance of the Compunetix CONTEX 240/480 conference bridges currently installed for JHITS.
