Publishing of Articles in the Journal Of Infectious Disease a Peer Review Journal This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 2010-Q-11993 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 29. This procurement has not been set aside 100 percent for Small Businesses. The associated NAICS code and small business size standard are 511120. (500 employees) The total period of performance under this contract shall be 365 days from date of award. • Article in The Journal Of Infectious Diseases a peer review journal: 1. UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO PRESS/IDSA, 300 Black and white pages and 33 Color pages of scientific manuscripts from individual authors to the appropriate party at the University of Chicago Press 2. Coordinate and facilitate the execution of a rigorous and scientific peer review of all submitted manuscripts; ensuring all documents are delivered to individual reviewers and subsequent responses received according to defined instructions and deadlines 3. Compile peer reviewer comments; integrate comments with those made by editing staff, and work with individual authors to ensure all editing suggestions are incorporated properly as to guard the technical integrity of individual manuscripts. 4. Prepare and deliver the ‘proof copy’ of each manuscript to each author 5. Prepare and execute publication of all manuscripts in the form of a journal supplement in both print and electronic media (web-based) 6. Disseminate the journal supplement to all members of the Infectious Disease Society of America, all subscribing public and private health agencies and institutions, and other subscribers to The Journal of Infectious Diseases. 7. Provide 300 complimentary copies to the CDC 8. All journal supplement content will be freely available on the JID website to non-subscribers 12 months after publication in The Journal of Infectious Diseases.
