The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award "Instruction on D200 New Plating line" to KBA-Giori of Switzerland. This is a FAR part 12 acquisition. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type acquisition.

The instructions are 8 working days of training on the plating line. This training will take place September, October or November of 2010. The exact dates are to be agreed upon at the time of award.

The BEP's Plate Manufacturing Division has requested addition training for the new plating line equipment. Numerous BEP employees have yet to be trained by the original manufacturer and installer of the plate line, KBA-Giori. In order to maintain training compatibility and quality operation of the equipment, the award will be made directly to KBA-Giori. KBA-Giori is the company which manufactures and installed the plate machines at the BEP's facility.
