The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office intends to award a contract to Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 4 requirements. The proposed contract will provide for thirteen Conventional Take-Off and Landing (CTOL) propulsion systems, fifteen Short Take-off Vertical Landing (STOVL) variant propulsion systems, one Carrier Variant (CV) propulsion system, an option for three additional CV propulsion systems, as well as CTOL, CV and STOVL initial spares, initial modules, production non-recurring (PNR) tasks, autonomic logistics support and activation tasks, performance based logistics (PBL) operations and maintenance support, and technical/financial data. The anticipated award date is January 2009.
