This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 8 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number NWWR4000-RQ-01636 is being issued as a Request for Quote. This acquisition is being solicited using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541519 and business size is 25.5M. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA), National Weather Service Systems and Facilities Division under the Department of Commerce is requesting quotes on Juniper Network Switches and associated licenses, maintenance and support as detailed in the attached requirements Document. The resulting purchase order shall be awarded on a firm fixed price basis, best value determination. POP: Award to April 30, 2016. Incomplete quotes will not be evaluated or considered. The solicitation document incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66. Brand Name applies in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(b). The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price considered.
