The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with XTec Incorporated. XTec will provide software upgrades and maintenance for existing EProm Downloader equipment. The E-Prom Downloader has been designed to download/extract data from skimmer devices for the Service. The equipment required provides software upgrades containing/consisting of patent rights, copyrights and proprietary equipment. There is no solicitation regarding this sole-source synopsis. Only written responses received by July 17, 2002 will be accepted. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in responding to this notice. See Note 22 (Sole Source Award). Note 22 is modified to read 2 days in lieu of 30 days.
