The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole-source Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to provide non-recurring technical engineering to complete the preliminary integration effort to transition the existing VH-60N avionics suite to a Power PC/Ethernet based avionics suite, maximizing the reusability of software developed for the SOF MH-60 configurations. This effort will focus on integration of applicable MH-60 installation drawings and modification of MH-60 integration documentation where possible to support the installation configuration for the VH-60N. In addition, Contractor performance will include the integration of Cockpit Upgrade Program (CUP) unique requirements with the existing configuration, the providing of system requirements documentation, and the definition and allocation of system requirements to hardware, software, and installation subsystems. This effort will culminate in a Preliminary Technical Review and an Engineering Change Proposal. Sikorsky is the original equipment manufacturer, system integrator, and current depot level maintenance provider for the VH-60N, and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, proprietary data, and expertise of the VH-60N design, operation, and maintenance to meet the Navyââ¬â¢s requirement to integrate the VH-60N Cockpit Upgrade Program (CUP) into the VH-60N Aircraft. The estimated value of this non-recurring procurement is $6 million. The period of performance is FY04 and FY05. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
