The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Government Scientific Source, Inc, 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191-3415 for purchase of multi-label detection microplate. The selected instrument must meet diverse assay development needs and be backwards compatible with existing assays and platforms. Needs include features such as multiple primary detection modes including UV-Vis absorbance (Abs), fluorescence intensity (FI), fluorescence polarization (FP), time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) and luminescence (Lum) with secondary detection modes wavelength selection tunable monochromator wavelength range (Absorbance) 200-1000 nm, a wavelength range (Fluorescence) 250-850 nm with bandwidth 4 nm. Absorbance 9 nm Excitation, 15 nm Emission for FI cuvettes. Capacity to provide Abs, FI, Lum in microplate formats of various sizes from 6-384 wells. Can read cuvettes and test tubes. Readings can be collected as either endpoint or kinetic reads. Can collect multiple wavelength per well to allow multiplexing and FRET analyses. Can collect selectable wavelength and luminescence readings as well as complete spectral scanning. Plates can be read from either the top or the bottom-reading for FI, TRF, Lum application.
