THIS SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT CONSIDERED A SOLICITATION The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of businesses that are capable of fulfilling the following work requirement: Performance Work Statement Generator Monitoring System BACKGROUND: The intent of this project is to provide a turnkey solution to integrate the facility s 9 emergency generators into a common remote monitoring system. The solution shall include data acquisition, data logging, protocol conversion and remote monitoring communications across the West Roxbury campus. Vendor shall provide a complete solution for the integration of the following generators: Manufacturer Controller Model Quantity Cummins PCC 2100 5 Cummins PCC 3100 1 Cummins PCC 3201 2 Cummins PC 2.3 1 Vendor is responsible for installing and commissioning all hardware necessary for translation of Cummins engine communication information into a common MODBUS protocol based on the model controller annotated in table above. Each generator shall include stand-alone hardware to accomplish the necessary tasks of: Data acquisition/ data logging Automated reports demonstrating NFPA 110 compliance of monthly testing with a maximum of 5-minute interval for a minimum of 30 minutes. Automated email notifications of start, stop, and alarm conditions. Vendor shall provide 1 Graphical User Interface (HMI) with audio/visual alarm indicator: Interface shall be a minimum 15 viewable touchscreen display. Interface shall aggregate data from all 9 generators with a 1-page summary of system status, drill down detail of each generator s parameters, alarms, and trending. Interface shall utilize TCP/IP communications to allow installation at any location with a VA provided network connection. Vendor shall provide operator training. Vendor shall provide software necessary to modify graphics and programming of generator gateways and HMI. System shall be capable of expansion. All communication paths shall reside on internal VA networks. VA is responsible for network connections and configuration of VA managed IT equipment. Place of Performance: 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 Period of Performance: This is a one-time requirement. Options are not involved. The total period of performance shall be no longer than three months.
