This is a notice of the government's intent to award a Sole Source, fixed price contract to KBA-NotaSys SA, Avenue Du Grey 55, CH-1018 Lausanne
PO Box 347, CH-1000 Lausanne to provide Operations and Maintenance support for banknote printing design and production and related hardware and software at the Washington DC and in Fort Worth, Texas facilities of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).

The specific services include providing Annual Maintenance and support for all KBA-NotaSys manufactured equipment and computer software in the Engraving and Design Departments. This includes CTiP, PlateBright, One Software Licenses, and CToP maintenance.

Only personnel from KBA-NotaSys and its subcontractors are qualified to perform maintenance and support services to KBA-NotaSys' proprietary hardware and software. These components operate within the Computer Document Design System (CSDDS), also known as Engraving LAN and consist of proprietary components originally manufactured by KBA-NotaSys. The justification for this sole-source is in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) and FAR 6.302-1- "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by COB January 19, 2016, to Victor Markland via email at [email protected]. Responses must demonstrate the interested party's capability to perform all of the services for this requirement. Information received from this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures will be used. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the government to pay preparation costs, submission costs, or any other costs incurred in response to this notice.
