A BPA was established with Powertrain Inc., on May 6, 2009, however, the current BPA expires December 31, 2011. Therefore, to assure continuity of service in the interim while a competitive action is conducted, a one year bridge contract is anticipated. This requirement is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Items. The authority for this award is FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1) - For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. However, all responsible parties who identify their interest and capability to satisfy this requirement will be considered. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, all requests for the solicitation will be considered non-responsive. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. Verification of receipt of electronic transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor.
