INVITATION FOR BID The KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH will receive sealed bids until 3:00 pm (AK Standard Time), June 5, 2020, for the Kodiak Recycling Processor SCOPE of WORK: The Kodiak Island Borough (KIB) has adopted aggressive goals for increasing diversion from its waste stream. The Borough wishes to increase the diversion fraction from the waste stream while reducing associated costs and is seeking a firm to provide recycling/diversion services. The Borough’s existing contract for the processing of recyclable materials will expire on June 30, 2020. The KIB plans to execute a one (1) year service agreement by July 1, 2020, with four (4) option years. KIB is willing to entertain various contract intervals in order to implement the most sustainable recycling program possible for the Kodiak road system and its customers. The Kodiak Island Borough reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding, and to give particular attention to the qualifications of the Bidder.
