The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Telecommunication and Information Systems Command (TISCOM) is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, offer(s) being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates all provisions and clauses through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 423690 with size 100 employees. It is contemplated that award shall be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement is for 1) Mini-VSAT Broadband airtime for KVH V7 TracPhone SATCOM system 2) 512Kbps Shore-to-Ship and 256Kbps Ship-to-Shore Data rates 3) 2 Enhanced VoIP Phone lines with a fixed monthly rate. This is the only equipment that will meet the government’s requirements without impacting program schedules and/or functionality of equipment.
