The government requirement is for Design and Development and pre-production article Phase, delivered 18 months after award of contract. Contract Option 1 will be for 60 production kits to be manufactured once the pre-production unit is accepted by the government, delivered 12 months after approval of pre-production article. Contract Option II will be for 14 L-3 versions to be upgraded to L-5 versions. Option II delivery is six months after approval of pre-production approval of Design and Development Phase.
All interested sources are required to have experience building similar components for the Minuteman III Weapon System and must be familiar with the HICS and PMRT.
Interested sources are required to provide the following information: (1) Name, address, telephone number, point of contract and location of manufacturing facility that would perform this program; (2) A description of corporate experience developing and manufacturing electronic components and instruments used on missiles, spacecraft, satellites and/or supersonic aircraft. (3) Identify potential issues you envision with the design and development phase; (4) Explain what required training/experience you currently have, what additional training you will require, and how you will obtain it; (5) How you will meet the delivery schedule and do you foresee problems meeting the schedule; (6) Provide any other recommendations/suggestions that should be considered in meeting the government's requirements.
