This sources sought notice is to determine that availability of Lab Specimen Testing Services for Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH) located on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Specimen testing includes, but is not limited to: blood, serum, urine, tissue, feces, mucosal, body fluids, and spinal fluids. Additional testing may be required in the event of equipment failure and/or prolonged maintenance of BACH laboratory equipment such as the Chemistry, Blood Banking, Microbiology, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation equipment within the laboratory. Specimens need to be forwarded to the vendor's laboratory and results are expected with a very short suspense time, in many cases, within two hours of the specimen being collected from a patient.

Potential vendors should be aware that this notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute as a Pre-Solicitation Notice, Request for Proposal, or a Request for Quote. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a Solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this announcement. If a formal Solicitation is generated at a later date, a notice will be published.
