Title: Lab Supplies - COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Tagman HBV Test & System Wash Regeants

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate a sole source follow-on award with Roche Diagnostics Corporation for COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Tagnman Tests & System Wash Regeants. The COBAS Diagnostic System and MagNA Pure Systems the CDC Division of Viral Hepatitis Laboratory Branch currently uses do require the use of COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Tagman Tests and Reageants issued by the same manufacturer, Roche. The supplies will be used to test patients that are infected with the Hepatitis Viruses, HBV and HCV.

CDC intends to negotiate this requirement with HRET under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and HHSAR 306.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be received by the December 31, 2010, at 4 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST).
