The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisitions, intend to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1), to Life Technologies 3175 Staley Road Grand Island, New York 14072 USA, to purchase Laboratiry equipment LUMINEX XMAP INTELLIFLEX DRSE INTELLIFLEX instrument for Multiplex Assays.
This instrument will allow the CGH/DGHT Laboratory to detect multiple analytes without the use of lasers, which require more frequent and expensive calibration. Furthermore, this product has a higher throughput and quicker turnaround time for results, thus allowing for testing high volume of specimens for surveillance studies. The INTELLIFLEX instrument is specific for the Multiplex assay which has been developed in the CGH/DGHT laboratory and meet the requirements needed for clinical testing. This is vital to maintain the quality and accuracy of testing outcomes for diagnostic and surveillance purposes. Therefore, it is not in the best interest of the Government to use a different vendor as Life Technologies are the sole distributor of this INTELLIFLEX instrument.
No Request for Quotation will be issued based upon this notice of intent. This synopsis ends in 5 days in accordance with FAR 5.203 (a)(1). Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products via email to the Contract Specialist, Saulat Rehan (CTR) at [email protected]. Please include reference number (2021-56842) and respond by July 27, 2021 at 3 PM EST. Responses received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
