THIS IS NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL, SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute intend to negotiate and award a purchase order to Metro Medical equipment to provide the continuing services of care/clincial research in an ophthalmic research environment. The sole source determination is based on the essential need of the services and testing device for the patient care based on protocols. The anticipated period of performance will be for one (1) year. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 334516 and the Size Standard is 500 employees. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and is exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. Any business or organization that believes is has the capability to fulfill this requirement should submit a brief narrative response indicating previous experience and capabilities related to the described work.
