The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract with SteelSentry Inc. for supply of three laboratory workstation benches manufactured by SteelSentry Inc. These products will be custom designed to integrate with existing SteelScentry workstation products already installed in the workspace.  USDA contemplates a firm-fixed-price commercial supply contract. See attached justification for other than full and open competition and Specifications.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must contain information sufficient in detail to allow USDA to determine if the party can perform the requirement.  Responses and questions must be submitted in writing and sent to Lisa Draves at [email protected] no later than September 1. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
