First published Tuesday, August 19, 2014 The University awarded a contract for Laborie's Aquarius XT Wireless Urodynamics System to Laborie Inc., Ontario, Canada, for an estimated $76,915. Purchase the Laborie's Aquarius XT Wireless Urodynamics System and utilize it's HL7 integration. The Laborie software with HL7 integration allows for seamless flow of patient results to our Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Without HL7, we would have to download information from the equipment, create a Cerner compatible file, and upload. From a quality perspective, anytime there is manual intervention needed to move information from a piece of equipment to our EMR, we create a potential for errors in our patientsâ records. Examples of errors include missing information and reporting delays. By purchasing compatible equipment, we have accurate, timely information transmitted to our EMR, without unnecessary steps and risks added to the process. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
