The Air Force Association, Langley Chapter, is sponsoring this Airpower Symposium at the Langley AFB Bayview Commonwealth Center on 20 May 2014. Headquarters Air Combat Command leadership will provide briefings and participate in the panels. The Symposium theme is "Air Force and Industry Partnering to Provide Operationally Effective Airpower for America."
The Airpower Symposium is scheduled to feature eminently qualified speakers and provides a forum for the constructive exchange of ideas between ACC leadership and defense industry partners toward "providing America with dominant combat airpower within the current strategic and fiscal environments." General Mike Hostage, Commander of Air Combat Command, is scheduled to give the keynote morning address and is also scheduled to participate in a panel with industry leaders. Planned session topics from the Director of Plans, Programs and Requirements include updates on ACC's five Core Functions: Air Superiority, Global Precision Attack, Personnel Recovery, Global Integrated ISR and C2. Weapon System teams will discuss roadmaps for some of the Command's weapon systems. See website for full agenda at www.Langleyafa.org.
The Symposium is an outstanding opportunity to stimulate wide interest and inquiry into future requirements and resources to ensure capabilities for the Air Combat Command mission. We encourage your involvement in this important event.
