Below are a summary of the major technical requirements necessary to meet our needs are:
- It must incorporate basic and advanced suturing techniques and full colorectal procedures to include teaching sigmoidectomy skills, proper identification of anatomy, dissection in the correct tissue planes, and perform peritoneal incisions and anastomosis.
- It must have a full procedure gynecologic module that provides complete ectopic pregnancy procedures/tube sterilization techniques.
- The gynecologic module must have the capability to introduce complications, damage surrounding organs, cutting the wrong artery, etc. while allowing the preceptor to assess trainee performance throughout the procedure.
Each potential source shall give a brief description of their product and ability to satisfy the requirements identified above. All responses should include any product or model numbers, manufacturer, specifications, delivery timeline, and any applicable warranties.
Each potential source, if not the manufacturer, must be an authorized supplier capable of providing and honoring the commercial manufacturer's warranties on the prospective items that meet these requirements.
All responses to this sources sought are limited to seven pages and must include the following additional information: name and address of firm, commercial activity/government entity (CAGE) code, small or large business size status, point of contact name, title, phone, and email. Interested sources shall submit all replies by email to [email protected] no later than 8:00 AM EST on Friday, 28 October 2011. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be made.
