The following bid specifications are intended to describe the minimum acceptable specifications for a one-time lawn care treatment for crabgrass, broadleaf weed control, and liquid fertilizer of various areas within the Township of Montgomery. The one-time lawn care treatments shall meet the following specifications: a) Application is to take place in May of 2023. All boom and hand spraying must be completed in an eight (8) hour period in a single day. The eight (8) hour period are to be between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Prior to application, the Township and contractor will determine the specific eight (8) hour period. Montgomery Township will establish the spray date with a minimum of three (3) days’ notice. The Township reserves the right to cancel the application due to weather conditions and reschedule for another date. b) Boom Spraying (Spring Lawn Care Application) (Approximately 90 acres) - Millennium: 1.10 oz per 1,000 square feet - Dimension: 3 pt. per acre - Fertilization: 19-0-6 30% NBN 30, 0.7 lbs of Nitrogen per 1,000 square feet - Compacted areas may be sprayed with a 20’ boom, as determined by Montgomery Township. - Boom truck must have low impact tires. -Boom with a minimum 20’ swath, for large areas as determined by Montgomery Township. c) Hand Spraying (Spring Lawn Care Application) (Approximately 25 acres) - Millennium: 1.10 oz per 1,000 square feet - Dimension: 3 pt. per acre - Fertilization: 19-0-6 30% NBN 30, 0.7 lbs of Nitrogen per 1,000 square feet d) Any re-treatment for broadleaf or crabgrass will be free of charge (for a period of one (1) year from the initial application) e) Any damage to turf areas will be restored to original conditions at no charge. f) Contractor is responsible for making all hypersensitivity notifications. g) All applicators must be certified, and the company must have a business license. h) A detailed map is included to illustrate the various application areas within the Township with approximate acreage for the area.
